Ah, summer time and 6 weeks is finally here!
Well another busy couple of weeks for us. Culminating in Kyle celebrating his 6th week with us. We just finished another great visit as Grandma S and Grandma Connie came out for a nice visit for all of last week. We were able to see some of the sights in the greater Seattle area, most notably Pike Place Market, the Everett Farmers Market and a trip up to Stevens Pass. Obviously all firsts for Kyle, even his first lunch at the Sultan Bakery (Yummy!!!). In between holding Kyle and feeding Kyle and talking to Kyle and changing Kyle and everything else they could do with him, a new business partnership was developed - Two Sisters Landscaping. Our backyard received a make-over worthy of a cable TV syndicated show. Grandma Connie and Grandma S re-did the beds behind our house with plants from the Everett market and some savvy shopping at Lowes, the beds now look awesome (Thanks!). Hopefully we can keep them looking good as the dry summer heat moved into the area as they flew back home to Wisconsin. It's been in the upper 80s to 90s the last few days, without a cloud in the sky. We also ate very well during their visit - cake, ice cream and treats from Central Market were never too hard to find.
After our great visit was over we were able to find yet another first for Kyle, his first trip on the Sammamish River Trail in Bothel. We weren't able to make it all the way to the Redhook Brewery (one of Mom & Dad's favorite destinations) but we did get in a good walk and some great sun - Kyle even had to wear his new sun-hat. This was also Mom's longest walk since Kyle arrived on the scene.
We then finished the day with some good fun last night, our friend Alim stopped by to take some pictures of Kyle. Alim is an awesome photographer and was eager to practice his skills on Kyle and Fred. I've attached some of the great shots that were taken in the photo gallery. Our good friend Michelle stopped by as well, and we all had a nice dinner after the 4 of us worked with Kyle to try and get some great pictures.
That's about it for now. Looking forward to the upcoming long 4th of July weekend.
