Nathan Lee Satori Is Here!
The focus of Kyle’s Room is going to shift with the arrival of Nathan Lee Satori. This little guy is already two days old. He was born on December 1, 2009 at approximately 7:36AM - he was 7 lbs and 15oz at 19.5 inches long. As opposed to Kyle’s abrupt and fairly traumatic entry into the world, Nathan’s arrival went about as smoothly as anyone could expect. He was delivered by C-section in Neenah, Wisconsin on a cold, brisk morning. Nathan did great right from delivery and continues to do very well. He’s currently sleeping and eating well which results in him pooping well too. These are all great signs that his first two days with us are going fantastic. Mom is doing very well too, she has been up and walking around for a day now and by all signs is also well on her way to a good recovery. The plan is that we should all be on our way home tomorrow morning to get into a regular home schedule. Here are some pictures of the family from day one.
The hospital room has been full of visitors too which has been welcomed and has been lots of fun. Here are some pictures of just a few of the visitors.
Our most important visitor has been Kyle and he couldn’t be more excited. He has been waiting with great anticipation for his little brother. We’ve prepped him to be a good helper and he couldn’t be more anxious to help out. His most important job so far has been the number one naming consultant. He had been in the loop as we tried to figure out names for our new little guy over the past few months and Kyle was determined that the perfect name was Chuck. I (Chris) actually warmed up well to this suggestion but we finally decided, about two hours after “Chuck” was born, to go with our early pick of Nathan. We braced ourselves for outrage from Kyle when we sprung this on him but were pleasantly surprised by his reaction – see the video below.
Thanks for all of the recent visits and also positive thoughts over the last few months, things seem to have worked out very well. Feel free to call or stop by (just call first) to visit with our new arrival.
