Power-Sitting

Well Kyle has started sitting up with some good balance. He is now able to sit for several minutes on his own, but each try is accompanied by either a back-flop or a face-plant.

A notable development with Kyle over the last few days also include the arrival of his first tooth, likely sometime on Saturday or Sunday after Turkey day. We found this tooth when he was gnawing on Mom's hand and almost drew blood - sharp little thing for being so small!

Kyle also had his first meal of carrots! He has progressed from rice cereal and oatmeal and was OK with his first dose

Kyle wanted to get his turn typing this morning too, here is what he had to say....

We also had a big weekend as Mom ran the Seattle 1/2 marathon on Sunday. She did really well despite the rain and sleet that started in the early morning hours before the race and has continued for a day!

July's Trip To Wisconsin in October

Well it's been a busy few weeks, thus the delay in posting. We took our standard July vacation to Wisconsin a few weeks ago, yes in October. We pushed out due to a work conflict this Summer, but luckily we were able to get back home for Carly's 1 year birthday party. We had a great time at her party, she made quick work of her pumpkin birthday cake, she was wearing most of it! Then we were able to have Kyle's baptism at St Thomas the Apostle, the old St Josephs. That went great too. We then had a really nice party at Grandma and Grandpa's house with a great Packer game to boot. We had an uneventful trip home, Kyle did pretty well on his 8th leg of air travel this year - he spent most of the trip laying across Mom and Dad's lap taking a good nap.

We did arrive back home just in time to unload our luggage and get Kyle into his halloween costume to hand out candy. We had prety low turn-out for trick or treat, I don't know if we had 10 total kids come to the door. Kyle did go trick or treating at the neighbors were he got a few laughs in his costume.

After a quick week it was off to Boise for Dad, where I ran the City of Trees Marathon. I was able to run a good race despite the fact that it rained for every single step of the race. I was feeling pretty rough after the race, but the combination of free beer, chicken soup, a post race massage, a plate of chicken wings and a cheeseburger with double Tillamook cheddar cheese lifted my spirits by bedtime. My feet were killing me for a few days but I'm getting back to normal now.

That's about it for now. The only big news is that it looks like we'll be moving back to Wisconsin next year, likely in January or February. That's great news, it'll make it alot easier to spend quality family time, not to mention quality ice-fishing & Point Amber drinking time!!!
