Happy Boy

It sure seems like it has been difficult to find time to update this website. We've been super busy ever since we got back to Wisconsin. Two weeks ago we were busy with the Bellin run and then off to a graduation party. We did the Tour De North East Wisconsin on that day. Kyle did pretty well, we were able to get him food (at least a bottle) at key junctures during the day so he was more or less happy for the entire trek. He's been a happy guy last week too, he spent a few days with Grandma, which normally goes quite well for everyone. Grandma put up the swimming pool for Kyle for his first swimming fun.

Kyle continues to be streaky with the eating. He isn't so much finicky as he just isn't crazy about eating. His weight has been at a plateau for a few weeks. He's getting long and skinny which is a bit concerning, but he doesn't seem to have low energy at all. We think that he is burning off all the food he takes in as he is on the go during all waking hours and doesn't have time to store any fat for winter! He has started to sprout another tooth too, so won't be long before he'll have at least half a set of choppers. He has been sleeping well for quite some time now - a few basic schedule changes have made a huge difference.

I've been overseas for the last week (and next) for work. I spent yesterday and today in Oslo, Norway. Oslo is a cool town, lot's of museums and attractions. I'd say that you could spend about 2 -3 days in Oslo to really see everything. I saw the Kon Tiki/Ra II, the Fram (Polar expedtionary ship), actual viking ships and The Scream (recently recovered from thieves) painting by Munch in about 24 hours. I'd say that was about 1/2 the things that looked really intresting. Driving in the Swedish/Norse countryside is interesting too. The Lupine's are in full bloom, quite amazing. They are around every corner and just gorgeous. The countryside is very pretty, not unlike Wisconsin, just alot more rolling and the roads are much worse. Driving in Oslo can be a bit nerve wracking when there's nobody to read the map. My best navigational tool this weekend was luck. Luck and hunches - not the most reliable but sometimes the most effective!
