Baptism and Christmas Updates

This weekend was Baptism for Nathan. He was a really good boy throughout all of church and even the Baptism itself didn't bother him. Kyle was also a really good boy, they both did great!

We had a small party after church. Kyle had his first encounter with Nintendo DS, luckily we caught this coming of age on camera. He has been relatively oblivious to gaming systems up until this Christmas when his cousins received these cool little devices - it won't be long and I'm sure he'll be asking for one. I'm guessing he'll want the DS before an I-phone, but you never know today. Kyle is pretty tech-savvy. We were listening to the radio during dinner last week and a commercial came on for "Double My Speed", a computer program to clean up and speed up your computer. All of a sudden Kyle said, "We don't need Double My Speed, our computer is really fast. Whooooosh!" which was was followed by an airplane motion. He's pretty sharp.

Kyle and I made progress on a bunch of projects over the Christmas holiday. The picture above is a new storage area that we built in the basesment. It is recessed in the foundation in an area that is formed up to support a fireplace directly above. Kyle has a smaller matching one in the finished area of the basement for toys, this one has become a pantry of sorts.
Here is Kyle with a chocolate fish. This fish came with several holiday favorite songs, such as "We Wish You a Fishy Christmas". The fish had to go on a high shelf after Kyle had a significant portion of it for breakfast one day. The fish also came with lottery tickets - all losers.
Grandma and Grandpa also got the boys the coolest Christmas present ever. An Arctic Cat Kitty Cat snowmobile. Kyle is a bit too little for it right now but his cousins are making sure that all the bugs are worked out of it this season. The boys have had lots of fun so far and luckily we've had great weather for sledding. Kyle's favorite Christmas presents this year were the following; Animal Planet Dinosaur Set, Handy Manny Garage & Car and Hungry Hungry Hippo.

Here are some more Nathan pictures from the last couple of weeks. He's been doing great. He's eating really well and sleeping pretty good too. He's starting to develop some pretty good baby fat rolls on his legs. We've started calling him Hank the Tank on occasion as well, he's filling out so fast that you can hear him grow! He fusses when he is hungry and otherwise he's pretty quiet. He also has been very healthy, so it's nice that we haven't had much to worry about so far. Still lots of winter to go, but overall he's been great and we've been really lucky.
