Trip to Denver

We took a trip to Denver this past weekend so that Chris could run his marathon (#10!) While we were there we stayed with our friends Heath and Marcelle who have a little boy, Ethan, who is the same age as Kyle. We started getting Kyle ready for this trip about a month ago by telling him he was going to be meeting a new "buddy", and then Kyle and dad wrote Ethan a letter telling him what foods Kyle liked and what toys he liked to play with. Then about a week before our trip, they got to talk on the phone. The conversation of 2 4 years olds can be pretty funny. While we were out in CO, we did some fun things, like go
to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science where they had a huge dinosaur exhibit and a large African animal exhibit. Both things were very exciting for Kyle. We also got to visit with Chris's aunt and uncle who live in Denver and they took us to Dinosaur Ridge, and Red Rocks, which were also pretty neat. Here are some pictures and videos from the trip.

The Pumpkin Patch

Here are some pictures from Kyle at the Pumpkin Patch this weekend. We took a hay-ride, picked pumpkins, did a hay bale maze and did a bunch of the slides on the giant pile of hay. We had a great time and it was perfect weather for early October. Pretty nice to pick pumpkins in shorts and t-shirt!

Here's Kyle's Halloween costume for this year. It was his costume for last year too but he wasn't very keen on wearing it, so we'll get two years out of it. He has stretched out a bit as you can see from the pajama bottoms sticking out of his T-Rex legs.
