Happy Birthday to Kyle!

Well, it was Kyle's 1st birthday yesterday! The year went by pretty quickly with some huge changes for all of us. We celebrated by having some peas, carrots and beef & veggie mush. We topped that off with the deconstruction of a cupcake. Overall, a pretty good birthday.

We have a big party planned for this weekend for Kyle's birthday as well as a housewarming party, should be lots of fun.

The house is coming together. The yard has been coming into bloom. We've got plants galore coming up, we need to do some identification so we remember what not to uproot this fall. I think we'll have to do some tree removal in the side yard - a few trashy trees continuously rain branches and twigs on the ground, making a long cutting job even longer.

We were up at the cottage this weekend. We had a great time fishing, although there wan't much catching. Mom and I did a 5k race in town and did pretty well. We also just enjoyed sitting on the deck and soaking in the sun. Overall a great weekend for Kyle's long awaited first trip up North.
