Enduring the January Cold
Well Kyle has been staying busy lately, even though it's the coldest weather we've had all year. He's been enjoying his explorations down in the basesment - his favorite things include the box for the pellet stove and his toy train. He's also pretty good at sitting on the tracks when the train is running - we'll figure that one out pretty soon. Kyle is back in swim class and he's really enjoying it.
We have been able to get out for some sledding and adventures - before it turned bitterly cold. We've has some light snow so it's not been the best for sledding down the hill but we have been breaking some serious trail around the yard and out in the woods. Kyle isn't so great at walking around in the snow - he tends to get stuck alot. Pretty tough when your not quite 3 feet tall and there is a foot of snow.
Here are a few Christmas pictures. We had two trees this year - this one is in our front room. The furniture is cleared out so we can take rides in Kyle's new wagon. We also like to give rides to Fred and Domino - but they aren't too keen on that.
Here we are on Christmas night, Kyle is trying to steal some of Dad's beer. This is his usual trick - good thing he doesn't drink too much. He is also good at trying to sneak sips out of Dad's drinks when we are out to dinner too. I wonder who he gets that from...
Here is Kyle sitting in his 3rd most favorite spot to eat lunch - any spot on the counter tops. His favorite foods continue to be any fruit - bananas, kiwi, pears, peaches, berrys of all varities. Hopefully he'll switch over to steak and ribs in a few weeks (or months, or years...).
