First Day of School
Kyle is already into his 3rd week of pre-pre-school. He is going to a small program right here in town and is having lots of fun. He typically isn't thrilled to go but he is all smiles when it's time to get picked up. It's a basic introduction to the class room, so they do an art project, sing songs, read books and have a snack every day. He is going two days a week and it's only for 1 hour and 45 minutes per day. He's doing great so far, lots of fun.

It was time for the annual Flags Over Lake Michigan in Two Rivers over Labor Day weekend. The weather was great and there were a bunch of kites flying. This is a great local festival that is a can't miss event every Summer. Kyle even got his first kite at this event, now we just need a little wind to go flying.
Kyle and Dad went to Quarry Quest this weekend. A local stone quarry opens up for tours for kids and families every year, this was our first one. We had a blast. We went up in a high lift, rode in the back of a giant dump truck and Kyle rode in a big crane. Kyle also played in a huge sand pile and numerous sandboxes. It was a great day.
We've also embarked on a deck expansion project. We are leveling and refacing the existing deck, widening the existing deck and adding a retaining wall and patio on a lower level. So far we've got the old decking stripped off and pilings completed for the expansion. Hopefully we'll be completing this work (at least the deck portion) before the snow flies. Lots of work, but it should look great when it's done.
