Kyle's Fourth Birthday and Other Stuff
May was a big month. Kyle turned four and Nathan started eating real food. He's onto cereal and sweet potatoes. He also cut his first tooth and his second isn't far behind. He's been a pretty good boy throughout all of this, just a bit more fussy than usual and he's not sleeping much during the day. He's still sleeping great at night though, which is awesome. The deck project continues. This was a big weekend, we were able to get three solid days of work in and we made huge progress. The railing is essentially complete, just need to finish the top cap and then the railing will be complete.
Here are the first few rail sections going in. They turned out pretty sharp.
The last three pictures are of the completed deck with rail. We just need to finish up the step and we'll be done. It's been quite a job. Note the boot on Mom in the picture above. She got a stress fracture in her heel while running, but she still finished the Green Bay Cellcom 1/2 marathon.
Here is Kyle with his birthday present from us on his actual birthday. The pictures below are from his big party.
Kyle got an apple tree from his Grandpa and Grandma. We planted it right after his party.
Here is Nathan with Mom and Dad's favorite stuffed animals from when they were kids. Dad's is on Nathan's left, his name is Ugly. Mom's is on Nathan's right, he doesn't have a name.
