Summer Vacation 2011

Last Day of School and First Soccer Game

Today was a big day for Kyle. It was the last day of school and his first ever soccer game. School and soccer both went great. He now has the Summer off to hang out with friends and focus on his soccer technique.
Here are some good photos of the boys goofing off. There is no lack of jokes or fun around the house these days.


The photo above is from Kyle's first day on the putting green. he loved playing mini-golf on vacation so he now has his own putter and he has done pretty good with it. We also discovered that the local YMCA has a small mini-golf course too, so you can't beat that!

Kyle's 5th Birthday

Kyle just turned five years old. This was a big day for Kyle and the whole family! Now that Kyle is five he's a changed boy. We've decided that five year olds must eat hot dogs, hamburgers and sloppy joe's on the bun. This is just the start of a new world of independence for Kyle as he gets older! We had a great party with the entire family, we even had a touch of nice weather so we were able to spend a little time back on the deck. We've also now outfitted the deck with some new furniture so that project is finally almost complete after 1.5 years.
Kyle got to wear whatever he wanted for his birthday party. Showing both his allegiance to the Packers and great fashion sense, he chose his Aaron Rodgers jersey.

As Kyle has gotten bigger so has little brother Nathan. You can see Nathan enjoying his first solo Dilly bar below. Both boys are huge fans of ice cream, Dilly bars are a special treat for sure.
Kyle and Nathan had a great Easter too. We started the Transformers action prior to his birthday party as he was lucky enough for the Easter bunny to drop off a Transformer along with a bunch of candy.
We also had a cold Easter egg hunt up at the NEW Zoo in Green Bay. It was pretty cold for everyone, even the animals.
